Wishing you all loads of Holiday cheer!

Standard

A quick blog this week because Christmas has snuck up on me! Got the presents wrapped, the house decorated, the food bought and can’t wait to have my wonderful family and friends over on both Christmas eve and Christmas day to celebrate the season!

To all of you out there, I hope that your holidays are blessed with joy, happiness, prosperity and love – now and throughout the New Year.

I look forward to the challenges and thrills of writing in the coming year and hope that we all can achieve our literary- and other goals- set for ourselves.

Take care, Blessings to all, and will blog again in the New Year!

A trip to the Emergency Room and Nashville, all in one week!

Standard

Apologies to one and all for not blogging the past weeks, but had a bit of a physical problem to get sorted out.

It seems that I have an intolerance to aspirin, 81 mg for the heart. I have a heart murmur and thought that the aspirin could act as a preventative – instead, it ended up thinning my blood so much I ended up with severe nose bleeds and had to go to the hospital to have it cauterized! (Just what I always wanted to do at 1:41 a.m. on last Tuesday!)  Anyway, the doc and I and the ear, nose and throat specialist I saw four days later all agree – nix the aspirin and I’ll get things back under control.

Just in time to take my mom to the Nashville, TN airport on saturday for her flight back to Arizona for the winter months! She stays with my bro and his family from Dec. to June and with me and hubby from June to Dec. It really works out great for all of us and we get to spend a lot of quality time with mom. She’s quite an active little lady and I’m so glad that she has this time in her life to travel and be with us, pretty much one on one. Plus, she’s my biggest fan! *Big Grin*

I also would like to give a shout out to the Roane Co. Writers Group I belong to here in my little hometown of Kingston, TN. I gotta say, this is a truly talented  bunch of folks and I’m hoping this coming year we can get a few of them published because, man, their writing is stellar to say the least!  They are a very sincere, constructive, group who excels in helping each other out with honest comments and suggestions; that is truly appreciated by this author, for sure!

A quick reminder that my short stories are out in new anthologies; ‘Autumn Burning- Dreadtime Stories for the Wicked Soul’ (JEA Press), ‘Monster Attacks’ – edited by the esteemable Samie Sands, and my own anthology of thirteen short stories, ‘Horrors & Occupational Hazards’ (JEA Press).

Well, gotta get back to the old writing board. In the meantime, check out the authors at JEA Press and Sirens Call Publications as well as author Samie Sands….I can guarantee you will all be in for a very chilling, thrilling surprise with any one of these incredible authors!

In the spirit of the season:  HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!

Until next time, read on and read long!
