Holiday Wishes to Everyone!

Happy Holidays everybody!

Hubby and I want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and the Most Wonderful New Year!

With the last-minute rush of buying the Christmas dinner, gifts and stocking stuffers – which, by the way, I always forget at least one thing on my list – I did not have the chance to post holiday wishes to you all yesterday.

So, here they are today!

May your holidays be filled with love and light, laughter and

joy so bright – to all who share this special season

with you, be they near or far, family or friend, beloved

pets and everyone in between – I send Blessings out to

you all for peace, love and success in all you do, now and

throughout the New Year.

Take care of yourselves and will talk to you all next year!

Rachel Holbrook – an up-and-coming author to read!

I’m not trying to brag (well…yeah…I am a little), but in my writers group we have got some spectacular authors. Rachel Holbrook, Buddy Tetro, BJ Gillum – just to name a few – have some incredible story lines that are now being published, or, actually have been published.

Today, I’m focusing on Rachel. Rachel has been doing a serial called “Little River” on her blog, and now, it is in paperback and on ebook! I had the privilege of  test-reading one of her novels, “Surviving Stephen”, and I am truly hoping that some sharp, forward thinking agent/publisher in the literary world out there picks this gem of a tale up and gets it published! It is an incredible read. (Hint, hint) 🙂

I highly, highly recommend reading this young woman’s stories. Her writing style is life-experience driven, imaginative, heartfelt, hits every emotion you can think of, and then some!  You can find her and more info about her published works at:

Have a great week, folks…only 11 days until the big man in red arrives! Have you been naughty, or nice?!

A new flash fiction anthology with two of my shorties!

Hello everyone!

Seasons Greetings to one and all! More good news to share with y’all!

Another anthology has come out titled:

Fifty Shades of Slay: A Flash Fiction Anthology

by C.S. Anderson and Alucard Press

You can find it on I highly recommend it, not only because I’ve got two of my own submissions in there (being modest here, folks, in case you couldn’t tell! 🙂 ), but because there are quite a few good authors who contributed to this anthology as well.

Flash Fiction writing was a challenge for me, initially. I started out writing novels and short stories, but I didn’t know if I had the chops to put out a little tale that could be told in 100 – 1000 words. If you think it’s easy, give it a shot…I turned the air blue on several occasions trying to get the hang of it, but I believe I’m doing pretty okay in that field as well, now. Thanks to my great friends and fellow authors in the Roane Writers Group, I’ve been honing my skills in this field of writing and plan on eventually coming out with my own collection of flash fiction – hopefully in the very near future! (prayers to the Word Gods being sent daily. 😉 )

Anywho, should you decide to venture into reading these written offerings set in this style and venue of writing, I hope you enjoy the pains all these authors went through to tell a complete story in as few words as possible.

In the meantime, have fun shopping for your loved ones this holiday season, and will catch you on the flip side of next week!

Read well, review often, spread the word  about good books!

Good news from Ortho and a new antho w/ me in it!

Hello All!

I hope everyone enjoyed a feast-filled, family fun Thanksgiving! Mine was great, and shared with all my beloved peeps.

Now, onto some good news and some great news:

First, I have another short story out in a fantastic anthology titled:

“Twisted Yarns”    by Sirens Call Publications!

This depraved little gem of a novel can be found on either Amazon or Createspace, and my offering therein is titled:

“A Walk in Moonlight”.  I would highly recommend this book, not only for my story, but for the ten other tales by authors whom I have the privilege of being published within. And please, should you indulge in reading this newly published antho, don’t forget to leave a review!

Second: good news from the orthopedic surgeon I saw yesterday. I stepped into a squirrel hole in my front yard about a year ago, and I thought I’d only messed up my left leg (bruises from shin to thigh from falling down hill in front yard), but I’d also kinda mangled my right ankle when I stepped into above-mentioned hole with my right heel. I had a slight dislocation which was fixed by a ‘phantom dr’ (check out my blog on that little incident), but I stretched the tendon on the inside section of my ankle, which also goes to the arch of my foot. (I found all of this out at the Ortho surgeon’s yesterday). But, me being me, I kept walking on it, stubbornly thinking it will heal itself, which, it had, partially, but… in order for my tendon to heal completely, I will now be fitted with an ankle brace and need to wear it for 12 weeks – then it’s back to the doc to see how the healing is going.

Luckily, the tendon is neither ripped nor severed, so I have a good chance once I allow it to ‘rest’ with the brace, I will be as good as new physically – mentally, there is no hope! I will always be a deranged author! *heeheehee*

Also, There are several new novels and anthologies now out for the holiday season. Check out Toneye Eyenot’s “Scarlett Blade” novel, Ash Hartwell’s “Zombies, Vamps and Fiends,” Kat Gracey’s “Witch Moon”, and M Cid D’angelo’s “Dead Reckoning,” just to name a few.

So slap some books onto your list to Santa, and read a good, scary story to get you into the holiday spirit! I know that does it for me every time! 🙂

Happy Holidays everyone, and remember: reviews always help your favorite authors!
